What to Expect

We all get nervous from time to time, and walking into a new place can be quite daunting when you don’t know what to expect or what might be expected of you.  So with this in mind, here’s what you can expect at All Saints Church, Christchurch, on a Sunday morning.

The first thing to say is that we value all people, regardless of who they are or what they wear, so come as you are.  As a visitor to our services you will not be asked to do or say anything that you are not completely comfortable with.  You can just sit and enjoy the service, join in with the singing as you wish, and have a chat after the service over a coffee or tea.  It is up to you.  We like to make people feel welcome and at home and do all that we can to make this possible.

For us, our Sunday services should be a time that people enjoy and look forward to each week. The overall flavour of our services is a mix of contemporary and traditional worship which we hope is relaxed and inviting, and they last for just over an hour.    At each service we share Holy Communion together and hear a sermon on the Bible passage for the day.

All that said, the best way to find out is to always come and see for yourself on Sunday at 9:30 am.  Whenever you choose to come you will find people waiting to meet you at just inside the front door.  They are ready to say ‘hi’ and help with questions where possible.
